Twitter latest feature: Now, connect fresh tweets to older ones faster

Technology Comments Off

You can now connect two absolutely different tweets with each other in the form of a thread. Twitter has recently introduced a new ‘Continue thread’ feature that will simplify and hasten the process to connect and in-progress tweet or retweet with an earlier post.

To use this feature, simply compose a tweet or begin to retweet a post and just before hitting the retweet or send button, pull down the current tweet to view the older posts in order to form a thread. Select the tweet you want to add to the current one and viola, your tweets will be connected.

Essentially, this is a new way to create topic threads and tweetstorms.

The micro-blogging platform has in the past allowed users to connect multiple tweets together while composing them but the new feature makes it faster to connect a new tweet to an old post.

This does not mean that you will not be able to add multiple tweets to make a thread in the older manner by adding new tweets to the primary one in the comment section. However, this feature simplifies the pricess and makes it more straightforward.

You can download the Twitter app for iOS or Android app via App Store of Google Play Store, respectively. The feature is gradually rolling out to users worldwide, so if you don’t see it yet, have patience and chek at intervals for app updates.

Recently, Twitter also acquired California-based creator of Stories template, Chroma Labs that develops tools for short-form video and photo creation.

It will help users fill in stylish layout templates and frames for posting collages and more.
